Over the years I have written heart-warming stories about people dusting off dreams that they once had and making them a reality. Well, this next story has been two years in the making and I am excited to finally be able to share it.
Since I was a teenager, I have loved writing stories and I had a dream to one day publish a piece of my work. Life got in the way and the idea kept getting pushed to the side as a ‘one day’ statement. Well, that day has arrived, and I never imagined it would be about my work at Transform Aotearoa. This first book compiles stories from 2019 and 2020. Books two and three will follow in due course. I am in consultation with the printer and printing will happen soon.
This is a creative fundraising venture to help the continuation of programmes in our area. There are no administration fees or royalties kept so 100% of all book donations will go directly back into the delivery of our programmes or to help cover costs of new ones.
Writing this book has also been about creating a living legacy of what Transform Aotearoa has done and was able to accomplish over the years. Hopefully providing generations to come with an account that will inspire them to be a positive change in their own communities. The book launch is set to coincide with our tenth birthday celebration on the 1st of November.
Dreams really do come true when you put your mind to it.
