It is always lovely to be a part of the men’s graduation at the end of each term. One of the guys shared that his life was uncertain a year ago.  Being on the wrong side of the law was not an easy place to be.  He was told he had to attend Transform by his probation officer.  He explained how coming to Transform has been a destination not just a journey.  He said listening to the others talk about their struggles and battles was a good reflection of where he was at.  He had felt like he had been dealt a bad hand in life but hearing stories from the other men, he realised that his hand was not so bad after all.  He is so grateful for the opportunity to do life differently and have tools to help along the way. 

It is always encouraging when our men feel free to share.  For this guy Transform was a destination, one where struggles could be addressed and resolved, with the intervention of positive role models and life tools that work.  It is no wonder that he feels like he has found a well-spring that he can draw from.  Life is looking so much brighter, and he is not ready to leave us just yet.  For now, there is a space for him where he can be himself and absorb all the knowledge, he needs to reshuffle the hand he holds.
