When ladies leave our programme looking radiant you know something has shifted in their lives.  No longer walking with their heads down but standing tall with purpose.  One such lady stopped to chat as she left.  She mentioned that she can feel herself changing and is not sure she wants to return to the town she came from.  Her fresh start here has made her wonder if going back would be a mistake when she is doing so well.  A question she hopes to answer soon as she continues to attend the programme.  She had thought that the programme finished at the end of the term and that was it.   The sheer delight she showed after realising that there was a stage 2 programme, next term was touching.  I told her if she keeps coming, she will not recognise herself by the end of the year.  With that knowledge floating in her head she thoughtfully said, “I can’t wait!”

Watching this process in the lives of our clients is like a proud parent watching their children grow into independent people.  Knowing that all our hard work has paid off makes the process worthwhile.  We know our programmes can change lives but when our clients realise it for themselves, that is when we truly see miracles happen.
